Gunjan Mishra graduated from IIT Roorkee (formerly known as the University of Roorkee) in 1998 with a B.E. in Metallurgical Engineering. A seasoned and accomplished Information Technology professional with over 25 years of experience in different domains, he currently works as a principal IT consultant with Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), advising different federal government entities on cutting-edge technological solutions in the fields of data analytics, cloud infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. Before this position, he worked in several senior roles across a range of domains such as healthcare, banking, publishing, etc. He currently resides in New Jersey and is an active participant in community affairs, volunteering for different local charities and engaging in fundraising activities for numerous causes, IIT Roorkee among them.

Dr. Lov Kher is an innovator, technologist, strategist, and insights driven business leader who is passionate about the convergence of people, solutions, and sustainability. He retired in February 2024 as Managing Principal and Technology Fellow at Verizon. He served as an executive with domestic and international experience in leading telecommunications products & services teams with a results-based pragmatic leadership style.
Lov brings wireless and wireline technology experience having served in various functions in Technology, R&D, Global Product Management, Operations, and Business Development at different companies and managed millions of dollars of businesses. He holds a patent in SDN technology. Prior to joining Verizon, he has also worked at EMC, Lucent Technologies, AT&T and Bell Labs, where he started his career as Member of Technical Staff in 1985. He is an entrepreneur as well – Lov co-founded and was CEO of two startups in SDN and wireless technologies during his career. He is a senior advisor to some startups as well.
Prior to coming to the US in 1981, he worked for four years in Bombay – two years in IIT Bombay and another two years in a World Bank created consortium of companies for the redevelopment of water and wastewater management for Greater Bombay.
Lov has had the passion to work on different social causes right from Roorkee to the US. For instance: a) he was the Convener of Bihar Flood Relief Fund in Roorkee during 1976 and collected funds by organizing a movie show in the Hangar which was sold out. The collected money was presented to the President of India at the Convocation in Roorkee, b) he was the Co-Convener of The Environment Day in 1980 at IIT Bombay where various dignitaries were invited to create awareness, c) he became the President of the Indian Students Association at CWRU in 1982, d) while working at AT&T and Lucent Technologies, he spearheaded an industry organization, Multi-media Services Affiliate Forum, during 1996-2000, was the first Executive Director and later became the Chairman of Board of Directors, recruited 45+ world renowned companies to enable communications interoperability among the telecom service providers, e) pre-Covid, he jointly ran for a number of years a study group, Gita at Work, at an Ashram in NJ, to discuss why what and how the learnings from Bhagwat Gita can be applied at our work places, f) he got elected in 2015 to the Board of Trustees of community association where he lives in NJ and held various positions – Trustee, Treasurer, VP, and finally President (for five years until December 31, 2023), and g) Lov is also serving as Vice President supporting PIOCCI-USA to promote business between US and India.

Vandana graduated from IIT-Roorkee in 1990 with a B.Arch, followed by an M.Tech in Civil Engineering from IIT-Delhi. She then earned an MS in Civil Engineering and an MBA from University of Maryland, USA.
Vandana Gyandhar is a Senior Global Program Manager and Physical Security Engineer who is leading the digital transformation of physical security in AWS data centers. Vandana has over twenty years of experience in the design, delivery and management of major technically complex capital and infrastructure programs and has worked in the Infrastructure Construction, Management Consulting and Power Industries. She has worked in a variety of roles throughout the project/program lifecycle including project initiation, feasibility and preconstruction planning; technical design management; program governance setup and review; construction management; budgeting and financial control/forecasting; project/program management; testing and commissioning; claims analysis and dispute resolution.

Mr. Bhuwan Chaturvedi graduated from erstwhile Univ. of Roorkee, now IITR, in 1969 in Mech. Engg. He was active in sports and was Secretary Squash, in year 68-69. Subsequently he did Post Graduation in Management from IIM, Ahmadabad in year 1971.
He held various top corporate positions, in various industries including automobiles, auto parts, engineering and management consulting. He began his career with Tata Motors, Pune in 1971. In 1978, he joined Eicher and rose to become its Managing Director in 1997. In year 2000, he became President & Executive Director of Hindustan Motors Ltd. Mr. Chaturvedi attended Executive Development Programme at Harvard Business School and TQM training programme conducted by Dr. Deming.
Mr. Chaturvedi was President of Tractor Manufacturers Association of India & Member of CII National Council. Mr. Chaturvedi was a Member of Programme Advisory Committee of Dept. of Science and Technology on Mechanical engineering and Robotics.
Post retirement, he has been management advisor and independent director on the boards of few companies. He is also involved in coaching of senior executives.
Bhuwan has been actively involved in various activities of Alma Mater. He was a Member of Syndicate of University of Roorkee as Chancellor's Nominee. He was member of Finance Committee of IIT Roorkee for initial 3 years. He was President of IITR Alumni Association during 2017-20. IIT Roorkee honored him with Distinguished Alumnus Award in year 2012.

Dr. Atma Sahu currently serving as a Professor of Mathematics, Coppin State University , Baltimore MD USA. His research work areas include vibrations of elastic beams, computational mathematics and mathematical modeling. Additionally, he is well-recognized researcher in educational aspects of problem solving, systems approach, teacher education, online curriculum and instruction design in STEM fields, and related assessment pedagogy. He also consult with Dept of Defense, Dept of Education, University System Of Maryland institutions of higher Ed. Dr. Sahu has published numerous research papers in US domestic and international refereed journals. His professional attainment include Ph.D (Mathematics, IIT Roorkee India, formerly Univ. of Roorkee), Ph.D(Math Ed, UMCP USA). He is a member of numerous mathematics and engineering professional societies. He is a co-founder of PanIIT Board of Governance USA, he has about 5,000 IIT Roorkee members in his Linkedin Network. PanIIT logo was designed and produced by the PanIIT team that he chaired. He also served as US National President of IIT Roorkee alumni Association. Lakshmi N. Sampath graduated from University of Roorkee, in 1961, with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked with BEST in Bombay and Crompton Greaves in Lucknow from 1962 through 1968. In 1968, Lakshmi moved to the United States and completed his major in Advertising/Marketing from Ferris State University in Michigan and MBA from Averett University in Danville, Virginia. He started his financial services career with New York Life in Cleveland, Ohio and moved to Northern Virginia, in 1978. After the position as the Sales Manager of New York Life, he worked with investment banking firms Capital Resources as a Vice President and Friedman, Billings, Ramsey (FBR) as a Senior Vice President. Lakshmi retired from the financial services business in 2005 and now lives with his wife, Shree Ayengar, in McLean, Virginia.

Sushil Sharma is a senior advisor to Director of the Accelerator Systems Division of NSLS-II facility at Brookhaven National Laboratory (New York). As ME Group Leader at NSLS-II from 2007 to 2018, Sushil was responsible for all mechanical engineering aspects of the accelerator subsystems including magnets, support system, vacuum chambers, RF system, diagnostics components, thermal absorbers and process water systems. He had a similar role during the construction and operation the Advanced Photon Source (APS) at Argonne National Laboratory (Chicago) from 1992-2006. Sushil is recipient of the Distinguished Performance Award at ANL (2002) and Brookhaven Award for Outstanding Service at BNL (2017). He co-founded a prestigious international conference (MEDSI) in 2000 which is attended by most of the mechanical engineers working in light sources around the world. Sushil received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Roorkee in 1969 and Ph.D. in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics from the University of Illinois (USA) in 1977.

Charan Singh is a successful entrepreneur, a proven engineer, an Information Technology, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering professional, Charan is an award-winning philanthropist, Community and Social, leader. He always seeks to connect diverse peoples and communities to help social issues and fulfilling societal goals.
Charan possesses over 35 years of experience in business, information and communications technology, engineering, and Power and Natural Gas, Healthcare, Education, and Government (US, and in India)
Charan also involved in community service for over 15 years volunteering in Tri-State area (Southern New Jersey, Philadelphia and Delaware) USA. He is passionate about promoting diversity and inclusion among communities, promoting interfaith peace and trust. Charan was selected for Diversity Champion award by Atlanticare Foundation US, and was awarded NJ Governor's Jefferson Award in 2021, one of the highest awards for voluntary service in New Jersey.
Charan Singh completed a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree from University of Roorkee (Now IIT Roorkee) in Electronics and Communication Engineering (batch1985). He started working with UPTRON Lucknow, and joined HILTRON in 1991. In 1996 Charan started with United Nations Development Projects as director technical. In year 2000, Charan moved to USA to work for a Federal Aviation Administration contractor in New Jersey. He worked in Energy and Healthcare sectors supporting Information Technology. Charan founded and manages a small business in IT Services as well.
Charan considers it an honor to join IIT Roorkee Foundation as a director. He is looking forward to making contributions to advance its role and mission by facilitating collection of donation from the IITR alumni and other donors.

Mohinder L. Nayyar graduated as Mechanical Engineer from IIT Roorkee in 1966. He is ASME Life Fellow and recipient of 2016 Distinguished Alumnus Award of IIT Roorkee. Two reference books, Piping Handbook and Piping Databook, published by McGraw-Hill, authored and edited by him, are used by engineers all over the world for the last 27 years. He has many firsts to his credit. His contribution, accomplishments, leadership and role as chair and vice chair of national and international committees and boards on codes and standards have earned him numerous awards. Since 1995 he is listed in Who’s Who in the World. He has published four poetry books, Ghatayen, Ehsas, Mahak, and Heartbeats. His poems not only rhyme with the heartbeats, but resonate with the thought waves of mind also. His quest for the meaning of life has led him to write The Purpose of Life. He lives in Ashburn, Virginia, USA. He feels honored and privileged to claim India as his Janmabhumi and USA as his Karmabhumi. To him ‘Work is worship’.

Prabhat Sinha (Kumar) has over 45 years of engineering, construction, startup, and commissioning experience in the power industry and industrial facilities. An expert in his field of water and waste treatment, pollution abatement, and water management, he is recognized both nationally and internationally. Prabhat served as a board member of the Engineer’s Society of Western Pennsylvania (ESWP) and served on the Executive Committee of the International Water Conference (IWC). As a recognized leader in the water treatment industry, Prabhat has been given the title of Chair Emeritus by the IWC Executive Committee after serving a two year term as the Chairperson. Prabhat retired from Bechtel Corporation after 35 years, holding key engineering and management positions in his area of expertise including Principal Engineer. He still provides consulting services to the power industry worldwide on a limited basis. He recently signed a consulting agreement with the Engineering Wing of Ministry of Power, Government of Egypt. He has authored/co-authored over 50 technical articles and presented these at IWC, Joint Power Generation Conference, EPRI, ASME/IEEE conferences. After retirement from Bechtel Corporation, Prabhat has picked up interest in travelling to historical sites, playing duplicate bridge and golf. He is currently on the Board of Governance, BITSNAA and very active in Alumni affairs. He organizes alumni meets in the Washington area and keeps in touch with the alumni members residing in other countries including India. He is currently working on MOUs with universities in USA to benefit his alma mater. He has set up scholarship funds through FFE in the name of his late wife to benefit female students of BITS, India. Prabhat has been very active with the local DC Metro Area Roorkee Association and has been the past president of the Association in early 90s. He served as a Lecturer in The Department of Chemical Engineering at Roorkee University for three years prior to his arrival in the US to pursue higher studies and a career in engineering. Prior to joining Roorkee University, Prabhat was an Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering at BIT Sindri and a Research Fellow at the Fuel Research Institute in Dhanbad, India.

Sh. Rahul Jain received his BE (Computer Science) from University of Roorkee in 1994. Rahul moved to USA in 1996 after 2 years of work as Software Engineer in India, and has lived in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1998. Rahul earned Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree at Santa Clara University in 2003 and CFA charter requirements in 2010. Rahul has held senior engineering positions in telecom, wireless, data analytics, machine learning and cybersecurity industry. He is currently employed as Director, Threat Detection Engineering at ProofPoint Inc. located in Sunnyvale, CA. In addition to his regular employment, Rahul actively volunteers in the local charity, city boards, IIT Roorkee alumni and fundraising initiatives. He is currently serving as a board member for the City of Sunnyvale Board of Building Code appeals. Rahul organized and led the US fundraising effort for the IIT Roorkee Class of 1994 silver jubilee reunion during the year 2019.

Sarvant Singh, aka Rana, graduated as Industrial Engineer from IIT Roorkee in 1996. He has 25 years of progressive successes in leading digital and business transformations in the manufacturing and transportation industries globally with Fortune 200 companies. He has a record of transforming business operations and organization cultures through the effective utilization of technology and data. He has an extensive background in creating and executing strategies in Digital, IoT, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Blockchain, Analytics, Cloud, Conversational AI, Architecture, and Data Management with a focus on delivering top and bottom-line improvements. He is a champion of leading and competing with talent. Sarvant is working with Penske Transportation Solutions as the Vice President of Data and Emerging Digital Technologies. Before joining Penske, he played multiple leadership roles at Cummins, Cap Gemini, and Tata Steel. Sarvant is a lifelong learner and loves to operate at the cutting edge of technologies. His passion for learning led him to achieve Project Management Certification (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) in 2004. Subsequently, he received Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management in 2009. He graduated from the Regional Leadership Forum (RLF) of the Society of Information Management (SIM) in 2013. He completed certificate courses in blockchain and Artificial Intelligence from MIT Sloan School of Management in 2018 and 2019. Sarvant volunteers his time for IITR Alumni related activities. He is leading the Class Gift and Fundraising efforts for the IIT Roorkee Class of 1996 silver jubilee reunion.

Anjali Agrawal graduated from IIT Roorkee ( then University of Roorkee) in 1983 with BE in Electronics & Communications. She earned Masters from IIT Delhi in Computer Technology in 1985. She moved to Boston, USA, in 1986 and worked for Prime Computers Inc as a software engineer. She took a break to focus on the family, now partnering in own business with husband Subhash Agrawal. The business provides software solutions for ATM cash management and forecasting. Another focus is investment in commercial and residential real estate and Angel investment in startups. With a keen eye for design and attention to detail, Anjali has participated in successful remodel of a large commercial residential building owned by her company. Anjali continues her passion for Kathak dance which she learnt growing up in Roorkee and has participated in local community events.
IITR Foundation was immensely helpful to Anjali as she worked on establishing Chair Professorship at IIT Roorkee in memory of her father Dr. A. S. Arya, after his passing in 2019. Dr. Arya was Professor Emeritus in Earthquake Engineering, Pro Vice Chancellor of UOR, Padma Shri recipient and recognized for his work in Disaster Management by various National and International organizations. The Chair Professorship reflects the Arya family’s wish to honor and cement Dr. Arya’s lifelong connection with his Alma Mater and his “Karmabhoomi, and to continue his support for research and innovation at IITR. Anjali is thankful to IITRF and recognizes the important role the Foundation plays in facilitating investment in IITRoorkee by the alumni and donors living in the US.
